Access to education in the Republic of Moldova
The right to education
Foreigners with residence permit have access to the education system in the Moldova on the same terms as the country’s citizens.
The state guarantees every child the right to adequate physical, intellectual, spiritual and social development. Every child has the right to free education in the Romanian language at primary and general education levels and has the opportunity to continue their education at vocational schools, secondary schools, colleges or higher education institutions, in accordance with the law.
Access to education is guaranteed, regardless of nationality, gender, race, age, religion, social background, economic status, political affiliation or the existence or absence of a criminal record.
