Beneficiaries of international protection (refugee status or humanitarian protection) have the rights stipulated in the law for foreign nationals and stateless persons, as well as special rights:

1. To be informed in writing, in a language they understand, as soon as possible after being granted protection, of their rights and obligations
2. To remain on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and to obtain the appropriate identity and border crossing documents
3. To choose their place of residence and to move freely under the conditions laid down by the legislation for foreign nationals
4. To be employed by natural or legal persons, to practise freelance professions or to carry out entrepreneurial activities
5. To receive remuneration, material benefits from their activities and social insurance, in accordance with the legislation in force
6. To be enrolled in compulsory education and other forms of education under the conditions established by law for citizens of the Republic of Moldova
7. To benefit, in the case of families with children and unaccompanied minors, from all social assistance measures granted to child citizens
8. To practise their own religion and provide religious education to their children, under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Moldova
9. To benefit, within the compulsory health insurance system, from healthcare and the same rights as citizens of the Republic of Moldova
10. To have their personal data and any details relating to their case protected
11. To have free access to the courts and to administrative assistance
12. Not to be returned or expelled, except in cases expressly provided for by law
13. To be temporarily accommodated in accommodation centres, under the conditions established by the Government of the Republic of Moldova
14. To request integration measures in accordance with the legislation in force

1. To be familiar with and comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, the provisions of the legislation on the status of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, and/or the legislation on asylum in the Republic of Moldova, as well as other regulatory acts
2. To behave in a proper and civilised manner, to comply with the rules established by the competent authorities in the field of asylum and to respond to their requests
3. To comply with the internal regulations of the accommodation centres
4. To apply to the General Inspectorate for Migration to obtain a residence card at least 30 days before the expiry of the old one, and in the event of loss or damage – within three days
5. To attend socio-cultural integration session (required)

Who is eligible for accommodation?

1. All beneficiaries of international protection who have joined the integration programme

Who CANNOT be accommodated?

1. Citizens of the Republic of Moldova
2. Persons married to citizens of the Republic of Moldova
3. Foreign nationals who have been resident in the Republic of Moldova for more than five years and have subsequently applied for asylum
4. Beneficiaries who have lived outside the accommodation centres during the asylum procedure, except for those who have joined the integration programme
5. Persons who may endanger the life or health of other residents of the centres
