Who can apply for the residence permit?
- Spouse
- Minor children born within or outside marriage, or adopted
- Unmarried adult children who cannot support themselves for medical reasons
- Parents who are dependent on the applicant or their spouse
- Persons under guardianship

INVESTORS, PARTNERS, SHAREHOLDERS
Who can submit the application?
- Any foreign national who is a partner or shareholder in a foreign-owned company in Moldova and who meets one of the following conditions:
Has invested at least the equivalent of 30 times the national average monthly wage in the company in question The company in which they are a partner has created at least one full-time job, remunerated at no less than the average monthly wage

* The average monthly wage for the economy is an indicator approved annually by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. For example, in 2026, it amounts to 17,400 Moldovan lei.
Required documents
- Application form (official form from the General Inspectorate for Migration)
- National passport (original and copy)
- Extract from the State Register of Legal Entities or the Register of Shareholders (original and copy)
- Confirmation of the investment from an authorised auditor or a tax return proving the creation of jobs
- Criminal record from the country of origin (apostilled, translated into Romanian)
- Document certifying the right of ownership or use of a dwelling within the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in the manner established by the Government
- One 3×4 cm colour photograph

GOOD TO KNOW
Comply with the purpose for which you were granted the right of residence
Any changes regarding your identity document, address, nationality, marriage or divorce must be reported to the General Inspectorate for Migration within 15 days
If your document has been lost or stolen, report this to the local police within 15 days
If your permit expires and you have not renewed it, you are obliged to leave the Republic of Moldova by the expiry date at the latest
Failure to comply with the rules may result in penalties or the loss of your right of residence.
