INTEGRATION MEASURES IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
Who is Eligible?
- Foreign nationals holding a temporary residence permit
- Foreign nationals holding a permanent residence permit
- Foreign nationals who have been recognised as stateless in the Republic of Moldova
- Beneficiaries of international protection or political asylum
What Activities are Offered?
Sociocultural adaptation sessions
Understanding national values, traditions and the political and administrative system facilitates integration into society. The sessions are free of charge and take place in Chisinau, Balti or Cahul. At the end, you will receive a certificate of attendance
Romanian language courses
Knowledge of the Romanian language is mandatory for obtaining permanent residence and is one of the foundations of economic, social and cultural integration. Courses can be requested from the General Inspectorate for Migration, through the North, Central and South Integration Centres.
Labour market information
The National Agency for Employment offers free information and vocational training services. Applications can be submitted to the regional employment offices or to the General Inspectorate for Migration.
Guaranteed Rights
Foreign nationals employed under an individual employment contract are entitled to:
- Healthcare – the same rights as citizens of the Republic of Moldova
- Social protection – access to social insurance and social assistance under the conditions provided for by law
- Education – access to pre-school, primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education under conditions similar to those of citizens of the Republic of Moldova
How to Apply?
The General Inspectorate for Migration is the body that coordinates the integration of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova and ensures interaction with central and local authorities, including civil society.
Submit your application to the Integration Centre in the region where you are located. Based on your application, an integration needs assessment form will be drawn up. Confidentiality and the protection of personal data are guaranteed.
